I didn't do a post in days because life has been crazy busy between work, home and family but all in a good way! Last Wednesday we celebrated my niece Mary's 3rd birthday. I enjoyed some pizza and homemade birthday cake and didn't regret it a single bit. I've been keeping up with the workouts and am proud to say I haven't missed a weight training session! The weather has been too beautiful to stay indoors so I've been subbing some of the cardio for yard work or other things around the house. My daily exercise calorie burn has been averaging about 800-1000 calories so I feel like I'm definitely burning enough for the target calorie intake I'm at.
The diet has been pretty good but I'm going to be honest and say that compliance hasn't been 100%. We celebrated Mary's birthday on Wednesday then enjoyed a wonderful meal with dessert on Friday. No regrets! I'm not in this challenge to win the prize (not that it wouldn't be great!). I'm doing this to keep myself accountable but at the same time not put my family through hell because Mom is hangry! I feel if 90% of my meals are compliant then it's okay to let loose a bit with the 10%.
My core is getting much stronger as the weeks progress. The ab exercises that were hard to rep out 10 reps are now nothing to do 20-30 reps for all 3 sets. I pace myself and break when I needed but I no longer feel like it's going to kill me. Slow and steady wins the race.
Weight wise my scale is down 3lbs. I'll take it!
