I woke up early this morning to get the workout done. I work from home 8-4 so I figured starting at 6:45 I'd have plenty of time to complete it. Nope, not even close! I got half the workout done lol. Today was Total Body Abs with the first giant set consisting of a lot of squats, swings, rows and burpees (gross lol!). I decided to complete the second giant set at lunch time but could only do 2 rounds instead of 4. Abs are my weak area and the workout was just too much for me. I did the best I could and next week I will push for 3 rounds or the full 4! It's about progress, not perfection!
Now for the yummy part - a protein bar review! I was shopping at Sobeys and came across a Daryl's Bar in the cooler section where I find my almond milk. I picked it up to review the macros then realized "Covid - you touched it so now you have to buy it!" LOL. The macros looked good so I felt it was worth a shot. I decided to have it for one of my snacks and was shocked at just how good it is! There's no chalky texture like you get with other protein bars and the flavor is sweet like a bar. These will definitely hit the spot for summer camping trips. If I remember correctly the price was $2.99 (I'll double check on this) so not bad considering it's a meal replacement. If you give it a try, let me know what you think. :)
